As previously noted, we believe that talents, abilities and gifts are as much learnt and developed as inherited.
Here are some pictures of our final Super Learning Day (SLD) of the year where students took the opportunity to progress in a range of areas.
Well done all!
The work on our TAG student adaptation of Fantastic Mr Fox continues!
Many congratulations to Henry Lay in Y12 who has won the very prestigious award of Warwick University Schools’ Physicist of the Year, 2015!
This is a PHENOMENAL achievement!
Some c.20 students across Y7-9 are about to undertake an Accelerated Reading Programme.
These students have scored some of the highest results in standardised reading tests and so are already proficient in this skills area. As a comprehensive, though, we have a responsibility to stretch & challenge ALL learners and this programme will hopefully support reading with non-fiction texts especially.
It should be a success and we can then use it as an evidence base to roll it out to a wider range of students.
This process can be conducted at home and so perhaps see the rationale outlined in the document below:
Reading Process for Accelerated Reading Sessions
